The Rose Breast Center offers only digital mammography. Digital mammograms are more accurate for many women, including those under 50, women with dense breasts, and those who are perimenopausal.

Unlike film-based mammograms (analog), digital mammograms produce images that appear on the technologist's monitor within seconds. There is no waiting to develop film, which means less time for you to wait for results. Plus, digital mammography reduces the need for retakes due to over or under exposure of film, which potentially saves time and reduces your exposure to radiation.
