Years as a Midwife: 10

I grew up in Massachusetts and attended nursing school near Boston. I moved to Philadelphia in 1991 and completed my BSN at Allegheny University of the Health Sciences in 1997. As a nurse, I worked in Med-Surg, Home Care, and Pediatrics at Shriner's Burn Institute in the children's burn intensive care unit, and finally found my favorite specialty, Labor and Delivery. This experience inspired me to go to Midwifery school, and I graduated from the Institute of Midwifery at Philadelphia University in 2001. I moved to Colorado in 2002 with my husband and two children.

I love working at Rose Midwifery because this program provides access to excellent midwifery care for women from many walks of life. I believe pregnancy, birth and parenting are some of life's richest experiences. I treasure the privilege of taking care of women as they make this transformative journey.
